UDIS is a candidate school for the PYP

We are very pleased to announce that Udon Thani International School (UDIS) has been accepted as a candidate school for the Primary Years Programme (PYP) of the International Baccalaureate (IB). UDIS is the first school in the Northeast of Thailand to become a candidate school with the IB. Thank you to all the staff, students and our community who have helped us achieve this goal.

The PYP is for students aged 3 to 12 years of age and prepares students to become active, caring, lifelong learners who demonstrate respect for themselves and others and have the capacity to participate in the world around them. It focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both within and beyond the classroom.

As a candidate school* for the PYP, this school is pursuing authorisation as an IB World School. IB World Schools are schools that share a common philosophy — a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that Udon Thani International School believes is important for our students.

*Only schools authorised by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme or the Career-related Programme (CP). Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorisation will be granted.
