We did it! Udon Thani International School (UDIS) is proud to announce that we have become a fully authorised school for the IB’s MYP for Years 7-11. This has been a successful culmination of our journey within the MYP that began back in 2019. Thanks to all those who have put in such hard work over the years as well as our parents and learners who have embraced the programme and its philosophy.
Our school was fully inspected by a team from the IB in May, 2023. The visiting team inspected us against all aspects of the IB’s standards and practices. In June, the IB formally confirmed that UDIS became fully authorised to offer the MYP as it met all the standards and practices necessary for authorisation.
UDIS becomes the first school in the Northeast to offer the MYP which cements our aim of offering the best international educational opportunities for learners here. UDIS is only the 11th school in Thailand to offer the MYP.
Of our MYP authorisation, Dr. Lindsay Stuart, the Head of School, said “This is a wonderful achievement for our community and shows the high standards of education we provide at UDIS. The MYP builds on the PYP and provides the ideal preparation for the Diploma Programme which we aim to launch in 2024. Through these three programmes, we provide the best preparation for students for the rapidly changing world in which we now live.”
