PYP reauthorisation report

UDIS was successfully reauthorised as an IB world school in Udon Thani

In March we held our PYP reauthorisation visit for the first time since becoming authorised in 2019.

This year we have been preparing for our PYP reauthorisation visit. In 2019 we became an IB world school for the first time when we were fully authorised for the Primary Years Programme (PYP). This year (2023) we held our first reauthorisation visit as the IB came to UDIS to see how well we were continuing to meet IB standards and practices.

You can find out more about why we use the IB’s PYP programme here. https://www.ibo.org/programmes/primary-years-programme/why-offer-the-pyp/

The visit was a great success with the visitors noting our programme strengths being the Board, guiding statements, commitment to international mindedness, use of the learner profile, school facilities, focus on wellbeing, parental support and teaching and learning.

The visit also affirmed areas the school is still developing in which include the use of ICT in classrooms, staff benefits for retention, curriculum mapping and consistency in aspects of teaching and learning.

You can see the whole report below. Thanks to our whole community for helping us host a successful visit:
